Breastfeeding Boutique

The Breastfeeding Boutique has a three-fold goal: to provide lactation education, support, and supplies for breastfeeding families.


Hours of Operation

Pump rentals, bra fittings, pump and pump accessories are available on Mondays from 11am-8pm and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am-5pm. You do not need an appointment, but please call ahead.

Support and Education

One of the unique features of the Boutique is the availability of an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant on staff to provide free information and consultation. We also offer several breastfeeding classes and have a breastfeeding mother's support group led by Flossie Rollhauser, IBCLC. Classes are free for Special Beginnings patients. You are welcome to attend our classes if you are not a patient at the birth center; however, there is a nominal fee.

Breastfeeding Mother’s Group
For pregnant, new and experienced moms with nurslings of any age. Come ask questions, share experiences and support other moms. Babies and toddlers welcome. There is a topic each month, but we are flexible.

Breastfeeding Basics
Explore the advantages of breastfeeding and learn if breastfeeding is right for you. Other issues surrounding this feeding method will also be discussed.

Breastpumping 101
How, when, why and where to pump. Choosing the pump that is right for your needs (one size does not fit all). Tips on preparing for and managing your return to work, working with your child care provider and reaching your personal breastfeeding goals. Breastfeeding Basics class or previous successful breastfeeding experience a pre-requisite; class can be taken before or after baby arrives.
