Dear Friends,

            Birth Centers in the US have been providing excellent services to women for the past 30 years.  Currently we have been able to receive facility fee payment from state Medicaid programs to provide services to low income families.  Recently CMS has made a ruling that they hacve been paying us without statutory authority and they will stop payment shortly.  In order to correct this situation congress has to pass a mandate to require payment for birth center facility fees.  Please help us by going to this website and siging on to our letter to Congress to pass this bill.  You can click the link above or go to www.birthcenters.org, click on Legislative Alerts, scroll down to Letter to Congress, and the letter will come up.
