Many of our clients choose to labor (and in some cases, deliver) in our tubs, and find that it is a better option for them in terms of comfort and pain management. The feeling of buoyancy the water creates is a gentle support that relieves some of the stresses of gravity. Warm water can help moms relax during labor, and it allows freer movement than birthing out of water. A woman can more easily move into the birthing (or laboring) position that is right for her. This can make labor faster, easier, and gentler. Many of our clients have tried laboring and birthing in our tubs, and they've generally found water to be a great tool during their labor or delivery. We have tubs with spacious whirlpool jets, as well as a deep inflatable birthing pool. Our waterbirths are only available for patients who deliver in the birthing center; unfortunately, there are no waterbirthing options available at the hospital.
